Seriously, we need to change our name

This shouldn't be a Mitsu only site anymore. It just needs to be a Mid Atlantic Auto Enthusiast site.

P.S. Suck my bawls.

P.S.S. or is it P.P.S.? Where is that whore Lindsey?!?

Pearce has been the only one to replace his mitsu with a mitsu. At least the only active member.

ALL car forums are a sausage fest - a name change won't do anything about that.

I would have no problem making any changes that you all would agree to make. Having more active members is a good thing. But, I would be worried about younger, more immature, kids joining. All I can see is a bunch of these people being stupid and doing burnouts at meets, and other irresponsible crap like that.

I would rather keep the ricers out. But it would be nice to have a larger turnout at meets.

How about we change the name and make new members go through an "application process" ? Post pics of their car, tell us about themselves etc. We seem to be a pretty close knit group even though I haven't gone to more than 1 meet I would like to keep the personal feel of this site. Leave C3G or other respective larger forums for the bullshit.

Application process? Pics of the car? Gay. I could careless what they drive - or if they even drive. We tend to screen out the shitbags fairly well as is - so I think it works fine.

That was the entire purpose of a regional forum - was to develop a site were those with the same common interests in a local area can pull together, which is something you can't do very well on National level forums. Those forums are so much more useful to pull together information on how the car works, make repairs, modifications, etc.

We can change the name to anything - but keep in mind it would probably require a new domain, in which case, mitsuoama.com would redirect to newdomainname.com - any decals you all have purchased and shirts - would technically no longer apply and be valid, as are any business cards floating around - so the logistical impact could be a challenge some overlook. Granted, those having the old shirts once the site changes, could be considered "OG's" (original gangstas) and old school.

I am down for the change. I feel we will be able to weed out the bad members pretty easy, or at least make them cry. We may have to come up with some type of "OG" shirt for the meets to represent us all before the change. Maybe a list of the original members on the back of the shirts - just throwing ideas now.

I like that idea but how do you decide who is "original" cause i know there are people on this site that have never even been to a meet. Do they still count? And if so where do you draw the line cause there are also the 2 and 3 post in 2 years kind too. or people like me that have only been to one meet and are relatively new?

OGs are the members that have been here the longest and have been very active. Steve, Jeff, Alex... Etc.

Shirt - stupid. Seriously, who wants to walk around with an original gangsta shirt.. not me. Maybe simply adding a new usergroup and just how some of us have contributor, moderator, etc under the name as an icon - make one for OG. Qualification = Anyone who joined in 2007.

As I said before, I am all right with whatever you all decide upon. Recruiting more members would not only increase the number of people at meets, but it will also boost discussions on the message boards.
