I'm around. I'm not on club3g, 2g, or this site much at all anymore. If anyone wants to get a hold of me, phone is the best. Wes's car is coming. I had to get a donor car for some more parts. It's sitting in my yard but I haven't had a chance to finish stripping the fuel tank etc out of it to put in Wes's car.

Since DTM's reputation has gone down the toilet, someone had to step in to fill the void for working on EVOs. Gee I wonder who that was.

Wes, all you need to do is give me a call!

The new location is about 15 minutes away from my place. It's on Briggs Chaney Rd near Rt 29.

Lift is installed and operational. The rest of the weekend is moving the rest of my equipment over and getting the electrical done for my welders.

Gonna be a few weeks before I'm really ready to start having people over. I'll be operational but once the weather warms up a bit, I'll definitely have a little shindig!

Absolutely. I've been doing the best I can in the conditions I've been in. No doubt this car runs come spring so Wes can actually enjoy it. We basically have all the parts and now I'm completely setup to finish this job.

Wes has been one patient dude. I appreciate it. He knows what I'm going through and he has been real easy on me. Now it's time for me to deliver one banging ass car. I will. I see 2010 being as being a year where finally everything is going to click.

Something made it into the shop! Pulled the engine again since it was easier to replace the harness and start the auto to manual swap w/ the engine out. Had to pull a heck of a lot more than that too! In order to swap the OEM engine harness, EVERYTHING has to come out.

Can I put this car on a diet while I'm at it?

And now that it's in the shop, it'll be done in a month. Converting a car from auto to manual and then from fwd to awd ain't chroming a SDS shaft Steve! Needless to say, this is more work than you've ever done to a car, and not as if you do much wrenching yourself since most of your work is outsourced.

Good post but you still can't polish a turd. I took a stock 4 cylinder Chevy Vega and built a bottom 9 sec car in 6 months to NHRA spec ("street legal" too). I will say that the AWD conversion certainly looks like a motherfucker and you have to like doing this shit to attempt it!

I'm willing to put 50 bucks down that this is NOT done in 30days time.

So, for the last 3 years you had his car, nothing was done because it never made it into the shop? Why even have the car for 3 years?

Don't deflect, this isn't about me or polishing a SDS - it's about the duration of time it takes to complete a task with completion dates broken constantly. People take rusted out 1929 Model A's and turn them into a performance driven hotrods in a matter of months, especially those who are paid to do the job.

I'm not trying to bust your balls - but you have to see this from the "consumer" point of view. 3 months later and photos of the car torn apart doesn't look promising. I look forward to April 10, 2010 to see this complete though per your promise.

As far as outsourcing - you're 100% correct. I outsourced because I knew I did not have the capicity or experience to complete the task in a reasonable amount of time and wanted to be sure my clients received there products back as quick as possible. If I chose to "polish the SDS" myself, I would still be working on it now... 3 years later.
