I added you to the list of those attending and put that you are not registered.

Like I said, I will be there as well. I will probably make the trip with my cousin. I might also park in the non-judged show field as well.

Of those on the list as attending or maybe, is everyone parking in a group on the showfield as usual or are some parking with the normal "patrons"?

Id like to park in the field personally. I'm not sure what impact it makes but it's nice to represent Mitsuoama whenever we can. Plus its only, what 10-15 dollars more to park inside?

It's worth it - hell, saves you the hassle of walking with whatever shit you need to carry AND it keeps your vehicle in your sight so no worries of tampering, theft, etc.

There's another plus. I just hope we aren't parked by the port-a-potties again. I had a hell of a time PSing them out with my amateur knowledge of PS!

Plus, you see a lot of different cars together - civics, mustangs, etc but We're the only Mitsubishi club I've ever seen It is quite a sight to see all of these cars together. Just me - maybe I'm one of the few who still have the flame inside?

Well, we get to choose where we want to park as a group. The earlier we get there the more choices we have. As far as the tent thing goes. I don't really think the rented tent was really worth the hassle. 1. We didn't choose the location, hence being close to the port-a-pots and 2. you paying the cost up front and not getting paid back by some of the attendees. I don't have my pop-up tent anymore because it was a cheapy and was damaged by the wind at last years show. I'm sure that Steve will have his and be able to bring it along.

You are now #8 . If all 8 currently listed as attending do, indeed, show up, we will have more members this year than last year!

I plan on being there. However, as of right now I am most likely going to just drive up early on Saturday and drive back sometime after dinner. Sooo, you can move H8R and myself out of the "maybe" category.

Alex, the room will be 396 total. Thats for two beds and a sofa bed. It would be great if we could get another DEPENDABLE person to grab that! That would be for Friday night and Saturday night. Let me know if you're interested.

I have no idea what I'm doing yet. I don't know if I'm just driving up Saturday morning and back that evening - or staying through Sunday, or coming up late Friday.

I still have not decided whether or not I am staying overnight. Seeing as how I only live an hour and a half away, it wouldn't make much sense for me to stay overnight unless a large group of people were doing the same thing.

The OP has been updated to include Doug and Jeff attending.

I'm thinking staying in Mechanicsburg or the western edge of Harrisburg would be best. Last time in Carlisle we went to some strip club which at first seemed REALLY weird but turned out to be hilarious and that place I believe was in Harrisburg.

If we wanted to do the same or similar again this year, we would be having a blast in Harrisburg and driving back to Carlisle for the night. What about driving out to Harrisburg, having a blast and staying in Harrisburg, then driving back to Carlisle in the morning.

The rooms seemed cheaper and the hotels are much nicer in that direction. If that idea doesn't sound good, then I'll keep scoping out Carlisle for a nice place and decent rates.

Hampton Inn (Harrisburg West) in Mechanicsburg, it's 10 minutes from Carlisle and in between Carlisle and Harrisburg. Rate is between $88-109 depending on how you book, MUCH cheaper and better quality than Carlisle.

I kind of liked the room I stayed at last year. It was pretty decent and close to the fairgrounds.

Parking was complicated.. remember?

What place was that again? I can check the rates. I called a couple places (decent) around Carlisle earlier and they were all completely booked.

This will probably be a day trip for me this year, can't afford to pay ~$200 for a hotel right now. Ugh I need a better job soon.

Chris, I will let you know once I've purchased my showfield ticket.

This will probably be a day trip for me this year, can't afford to pay ~$200 for a hotel right now. Ugh I need a better job soon.

Chris, I will let you know once I've purchased my showfield ticket.
Dude, this shit is 3 months away. Besides, I'm sure plenty are willing to split. A day trip back and forth to Carlisle sucks. It's a 7 hour round trip drive + whatever time you spend at the event.
