Streak ended at 14 for the Caps last week. Olympic Hockey time! USA took Switzerland 3-1. Canada over Norway 8-0 and Russia over Latvia 8-2. With the talent on team Russia, I don't see anybody else winning the Gold. Didn't get a chance to watch Canada's game, I'll have to catch it on DVR tonight.

All of the opening Hockey games were kind of slow paced until the third. USA womens curling team lost to Japan last night, it was a very close end. Some guy died during a practice luge run.

I caught the last couple of minutes when the U.S. scored with 24.4 seconds left. At that point, my family and I sat down to eat dinner. Then, my mom said that she heard cheering on the television, so I walked into the other room, and I saw the Canadians celebrating.

My dad said that Canada played great in the first two periods, but they let the U.S. walk all over them in the third period. In fact, based upon the third period, my dad felt that the U.S. deserved to win the gold medal.

USA didn't deserve anything. They played bad. D was horrible, they kept getting caught up ice and had a very difficult time keeping it in Canada's zone for more than five seconds. Canada is the only team that deserved that gold medal. Praise just got lucky crashing the net with Miller pulled and chipped in the game tying goal. OT was ALL Canada. I really had a hard time thinking USA could beat Canada again, it's just not our game like it is theirs/yours.
