Hockey!!!

Well Caps lost again last night, 3-2 Islanders in an OT shootout. To many penalties and not doing anything with the power plays we get. Ovechkin is climbing closer to that 60 goals (48) in a season mark, so why can't we win a fucking game. Oh well lets see what happens on Sat. against Carolina.

The Toronto Maple Leafs aren't doing much better than the Caps, so no worries BRM.

Caps biggest problem is we have 3 Key players hurt, our goaltending is very suspect, though Olie has really stepped up in the last few weeks.

We just need to get scoring out of more then 3 players consistantly. We can't rely on Ovie to much, he is a great player, I think the best in the league. Yes better then Candy ass Crosby. But we can only expect to ride him so far, this isnt basketball.

Johnson's goaling just fine, and Alex Seman is scoring pretty consistently, it's just all the penalties.

Toronto beat the Sens 5-0 tonight! I hope they don't get rid of their franchise guy, Mats Sundin.

Flyers played a great game last night, coming back from a 3 goal game by Buffalo, they tied it up with about 6 minutes left in the third period, held Buffalo off in overtime and won the shootout with 2 goals. Good win Flyers!

Caps played amazing Monday night with 4 goals right off the bat, Ovechkin hit the 50 goal mark and adding 2 more by the end of the game, final score was 10-2 against Boston.

Last night Caps took on Buffalo, game wasn't on reg. cable so I couldn't watch, but Caps won 3-1.

It was a pretty good game. Closer then the 3-1 score. Hard fought game.

Ovie got another 2 goals. Olie played really good.

Saw a replay of that Caps / Buffalo game last night, Kolzig played fucking awesome, considering all the shot that were screened by other players. Fedorov is old. Can't wait till Sunday against the Penguins, fuck Crosby.

Caps played like doo doo this weekend. On the other hand, Donald Brashear threw out the nastiest punch I've seen in a while.

Not a Hockey fan, and I knew he got taken out with a stick! [edit] Playing career
Brashear started his NHL career when the Montreal Canadiens signed him as a free agent in 1992. He has played for the Montreal Canadiens, the Vancouver Canucks, and the Philadelphia Flyers, primarily being known as one of the NHL's top enforcers throughout his career. Brashear also ranks high in penalty minutes. He has trained with boxing legend Joe Frazier as well as legendary UFC Champion James "Hoss" Skelton.

In 1996, Brashear was sent to Vancouver shortly after he had a heated verbal exchange with then-Canadiens head coach Mario Tremblay during a team practice in Denver. The full incident was filmed by the RDS cameraman Paul Buisson.

During the February 21, 2000 Vancouver-Boston game, when Brashear played for Vancouver, Marty McSorley struck Brashear in the side of his head with his stick. Brashear fell to the ice, his head bounced, and his unsecured helmet flew off. Brashear suffered from a grade 3 concussion and memory lapses. He returned to play after several weeks and has fully recovered.
Brashear testified he has no memory of what happened. Marty McSorley was found guilty of assault with a weapon but wasn't sent to jail. He had to complete 18 months of probation, in which he could not play against Brashear. McSorley claims that he tried to hit Brashear in the shoulder to start a fight with him and didn't mean to hit his head.

Caps pull off another W last night, thanks to Ovie!!! Kolzig played decent, and Backstrom didn't score on our own net Ovie almost had a hattrick and his 57th goal for the season at the end of the game when Calgary pulled their goalie and Ovechkin chased down a loose puck only to slip before shooting it towards the open net. Oh well, 4 more to go!!!!! (60) Congrats to Kolzig for his 300th win!!!

I'll be happy if the Caps make the playoffs, or at least OVie winning the MVP and all the other awards he should be expecting. I'm hoping he gets 67 goals too.

Another W against Boston.....again. There was a half dozen bad calls by the ref.'s, like the "diving" call on Ovie.

Holy shit! What a game last night, Caps came out strong in the first period with 3 goals (Seman,Backstrom,Bradley), Pred's ran circles around them in the second but went scoreless until the third with the help of a power play, and Ovie had a last minute goal bouncing the puck off the boards and into an empty net. Thats 58!!!!!!! final score: 4-2 Caps!!!!
Caps take on Chicago tonight @ 8:30 pm.

Well, Toronto had two big wins on Friday and Saturday. The beat Buffalo 4-1, and then they defeated Ottawa tonight 5-4.

It looks like the Caps, the Leafs, and a few other teams are going to battle it out until the end. The 8th spot is currently at 84 points. The Caps have 82 and the Leafs have 80. Anything can happen right now. Good luck to your team as well.

Congrats to NY (Islanders) for crushing the Penguins and that sorry ass excuse for a player Crosby. Malkin's the real star on that team, CSN even threw out some stats that prove the Penguins actually play better WITHOUT Crosby. Suck wang, Crosby!

Hell of a game last night!!! Ovechkin beat a 25 y.o. record for 61 goals in a season for the Caps!!!!!! Beat the Canes 3-2 in a shootout, Kozlov got the winning goal!!!

Well, the Maple Leafs are shooting themselves in the foot. They just lost the last two games, whereas the Caps won the last two. In order to capture the 8th spot, Toronto needs to catch up with Washington first, which I don't see happening now.

Ovechkin is a beast. I'm very surprised by Washington's success.
